Consider buying a computer system that isn't so proprietary that no-one bothers to spy on it...

THEN you'd appreciate the effort to define and eliminate spyware.

Actually, Apple made good moves by choosing an open source variant of Linux as a base AND in choosing Intel (& AMD) processors. Too bad the management hasn't gone much further. Competition would make Apple better and certainly more price competitive.
