Ubuntu Linux Opens root Access
My experience with Ubuntu/Kubuntu also suggests that as a "Linux for Human Beings" (see www.ubuntulinux.org, don't flame me) they have changed privileges as well, allowing a user access to some root operations like apt-get after re-entering their user logon, but without opening up the file structure completely. Goofy, and frustrating.
