You can tell it's an election year
When you something like this:

"...it's up to content creators to come up with business models that accommodate modern technology and attitudes."

They gave the recording industry what they wanted and RIAA made them all look bad. So now they're getting a little election year payback rhetoric. And I'm sure Congress will back up those harsh words with even more talk.
