This software download has been disabled for months - they say
a new version will be available Real Soon Now. I use both Macs
and PCs and there really is little if any malware for the Mac.
Doesn't mean you should change; people use a particular
computer / os for many different reasons.

As difficult as it is to read, the Mac doesn't have the security
problems that Windows has - hopefully Longhorn will fix that.
As difficult as it is to read, the Mac is marginalized in regards to
certain software running on its platform.

Best use what works for you and keep religion out of it.

The biggest problem that I see is that spy/adware makers can
actually sue those companies trying to protect computers from
their wares which leads to decisions like Microsoft's. For people
reading this forum, proper safeguards are probably second
nature.

For novices, they have a hard time even understanding the
issues sometimes. All they know is that their computer is acting
funny. The downside is that there is a segment of the
population retreating from using the technology after they've
paid for it. Another downside is that people like us end up
helping those without the skills way too often.
