RE: re: Linux User
the problem may lie with your video card. It's pretty well known that ATi's don't work well with Linux (ATi being ******* about supporting Linux...) All I use are either SiS (laptops...) or nVidia cards.

As for the script, yes a phishing attack can work but on a limited scale. As you should well know that if it's run in user space then the root space (core system) is protected by design. Also, as you noted the user has to perform more steps that in a Windows system. All a user has to do is execute from the e-mail on a winbox. And away it goes. with Linux there are extra steps.

I never said it was impossible to infect a Linux box, but the liklihood and ease is not there as it is with Windows. The liklihood because those of us that use it teach the learners right and wrong usage practices. Also what you proved is what has been proved by others, the user space can be compromised by the action of the user, not automatically.

Windows still has some auto-execution flaws (read IE activex).

Anyhow, try an nVidia card, that may cure your font issues.
