The back breaking work was done by beasts of burden. Stones were floated down the nile and transported over land probably by elephants or ox teams with round logs and grappling hooks with a massive work force. This work force was like Roosevelt's WPA and they were paid. This theory of creatures from another world had to help the ancients is modern day arrogance. Man hasn't changed genetically in 50,000 years. Stargate may be fun to watch, but it's bunk.

I ran a non-profit organization. I ran into those problems that were being discussed at conferences. This was acknowledged in all non-profit organizations. You cannot order around a volunteer workforce, they have to be positively manipulated. Some people will not work no matter what. Any church will tell you that 5-10% work and the others watch. Also the 5-10% you do not have trouble collecting dues from. When everyone wants to do it, you don't have to pull rank. Your thinking is based on idealism, not reality. Time to get pragmatic my friend.
