The vulnerabilities Ballmer is speaking of were not for Red Hat 6 they were for applications that came with Redhat 6 - big difference and most of them were bugs not vulerabilities. Since Linux does not shove their software down your throat along with the OS if you are worried about a certain problem with a piece of software uninstall it...
