The truth is out there. We got all this technology in exchange for releasing some of their people we captured when their saucer crashed. The deal is we do not unleash the full potential of the technology all at once because it would get the aliens in trouble for providing dangerous technology to an under developed planet. The Federation of Galaxies would come down on them hard!!! So we have to get the technology to the people is believable development steps.
