I have to say you're right about home users
Home users want to secure their pc's, and spend an awful lot of money to do so, anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-hacker, software firewalls. But once the program is installed they have no clue how to use it other than default settings. They're not all irresponisble, just ignorant. Take the average programmer, and send him on a construction site or to a garage and see how well he does at it only working 1 hour a day.
