It's the programmers, Stu.
First, you guys need to learn how to spell.

Second, you need to learn how to read.

MS is very specific about the flaw--it's not in Windows and it's not an ActiveX--it's a buffer overflow vulnerability (MS describes as an "unchecked buffer") in the NNTP code in OE.

What's frightening is that we've known for forty years how to avoid buffer overflows and microcephalic programmers are still messing up on a routine basis.

Makes one wonder if, since most programming started being done by CS grads instead of people with a real education, any randomly-chosen roomful of programmers could muster an aggregate IQ into the three-digit range.
