Why is it so
hard in the browser to block all popups that did NOT originate from the same site as the one of the page being visited? Why is it so hard to issue a warning that there is a popup and that it originates from such and such site, etc.

The same was done with the cookies and now there is better control over them.

Is it the standard that prohibits the methods in my 1st paragraph?

``cannot fix because the standards do not let me'' is just deeply pathetic and weaselly MS talk.
