I'll explain for him.....for the sarcastically challenged. He is suggesting that the machines may not be planning an attack, that the viruses are not intelligent animals bent on finding ways to infect your machine. He is suggesting that if there is scanning, the viruses are already out there and spread.

He is implying that this article is just fearmongering hype that something could happen, but with no real substantial proof.

Here I got one for ya, an operating system somewhere may get some virus in the next year. So can your food and lock your doors because the day of reckoning is afoot.

either that or might have to update your virus scanner.
