Just installed 'Show IP' Firefox extension ...
Yet another layer of protection on top of the 'No Script' extension. I note that Firefox has similar tools available for dealing with Flash. In my opinion, all of these potentially rogue technologies need to be put back under the control of the user. Anyway, with 'Show IP' it becomes suddenly clear that the java box is not originating from the same IP as the site I am on, assuming that I was stupid enough to enable Javascript itself on an unknown and untrusted site. Pretty cool. I feel reasonably protected now.
