Don't Tell

Don't ask, don't tell customers their accounts were compromised!!!!! We'll watch the account for signs of fradulent activity!!! What a load of crap; if my card has been compromised, I have a right to know up front, not depending on them to watch the charges. May well be they will absorb fraudulent charges, but that doesn't justify the position of silence. The fact that birthdays, SSN's, & addresses weren't in this heist isn't any comfort because it's easy to get those, many with just a Google search. I detest Government regulators for the most part, but it's Corporate stupidity and greed (for not spending capital money to upgrade) like this that make the Government regulators necessary.
