That's not true. There have been plenty of stories over the past couple of years about Microsoft complaining about flaws being "outed" before MS had a chance to address them). And, there have been plenty of stories about F/OSS flaws being reported, only to have the fixes already available.

I've seen no such trend in reporting as you're describing.
