Solution to problem is o so simple ...
Its simply a matter of the credit reporting and financial services industry finally coming to grips with the novell concept that a consumers personal information ACTUALLY DOES BELONG TO THAT CONSUMER and not to the corporate mavens who traffic in it for profit. Of course we all know that that will never happen and identity thefts will continue to occur and theives will continue find easier to access credit records than legitimate consumers. But then the industry really doesn't want a SOLUTION to the problem, they are more interested in trying to find a way to make a quick buck off of it.
