I don't know what the big deal is. Symantec doesn't remove Hotbar - the user does. Symantec provides the tool. This is why MAPS never lost a lawsuit - they don't block emails, the ISPs do. MAPS only publishes a list of spamming netblocks.

The same reasoning should be applied to anti-adware products. I'd like to see Hotbar sue a user for removing their stuff.
