Very diserving
Debian is a hacker's distro, and it shows. Most *NIX admins will do 95% of the job and then get disinterested - and leave the last 5% to someone else. Software packaging and install testing is the lowest of the low on the SysAdmin totem pole - but it is VERY important to customers (M$ spends a good deal of time on it - Windoze doesn't start screwing up until AFTER the install!).

It couldn't have happened to a more diserving distro. Debian violates SO MANY *NIX standards and best practices, it deserves to be a pariah.
