MP3
Apple sells 30 million tracks, 70% of the market.
P2P indicates that music download is a killer app with a hell of a lot of potential market.

Total music market was worth $32 BILLION in 2003, so online legal downloads have so far gotten about 0.13% of that market.

Gee, lets pat ourselves on the back, we've found the winning formula for capturing one tenth of 1 % of a potentially huge and profitable market. Woo, go boy!

I'm going to say it again, and again.
I have no WMA player, I have no iPod, I want MP3s because everything plays MP3. A quick scan of any electronics flyer will tell you this message loud and clear, a quick check of any search engine stats will tell this loud and clear. You have to deliver MP3.

Forget the DRM, the makers even ship the key to the lock with the DRM, so its worthless junk.

Hows Walmart's test store doing?
