Definition of spyware

To install software onto a computer to gather personal data about the client with or without their permission. Some people do not understand the risks and protecting them will protect the WAN. Some things you have to do for the greater good.

Adware is spyware also because it gathers some personal data about the client to taylor the ads to the operator. Think of it as spywarelite. All of it should be illegal as a security risk of IP, personal data, espionage or any other nefarious activity.

Server software is different because it is 100% controlled by the client/owner It is also a self contained app that will function on its own.

So to be considered non-spyware or server software must meet these requirements:
Must have your permission
100% controlled by customer
No secret activity
Will not break apps if removed
Will not break if another program is removed
Uninstallable with no leftover debris except the data or work files.
