Behavior of botted machines
> The first time a naive user encounters a virus, he or she is no longer ignorant. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. It's one thing to be ignorant and another to be stupid.

I've heard that some of the bots actually go to some lengths to protect their machine against other bots and viruses, with the result that the owner of the machine never even knows what havoc the machine is wreaking on the rest of the world.
