Antivirus companies are greedy too: I simply refuse to pay Symantec or McAfee any more money. They want too much for too little protection. And frankly I'm quite suspicious of companies who thrive on providing protection. I have to wonder how many of the thier employees work at home on new ways to keep their job secure.

I have 6 PC's in my home and I don't want to pay them ransom for a license on each PC. I used to buy one copy each year and install on multiple PC's, then Symentec began using the auto-update "feature" as a way of disabling all but one copy.

Shame on you greedy companies! You should have been happy with a one license per household...now you've lost my business to free-ware anti-virus like Avast.
