Mac is not the only solution
Buying a Mac is not the only solution. If you own a mac and like it then god bless you. There are too many things that I can do cheaper and easier on a pc for me to ever consider buying one.

The last thing you want to do is buy a mac because of virus attacks. If you are comfortable with a pc then stay with them.

There is a reason that most users at businesses don't have any say about what computers are bought for them to use. The main reason is what they call a budget. The other is knowledge. I get more complaints about the placement or types of speakers then any other subject.

Most IT managers try to do the most with what money they have. The key to staying safe takes several steps.

1 Start with a good OS and keep it patched
2 Get good virus protection and make sure it checks for updates every day
3 Educate the users so they know what to watch out for
4 block bad attachments at the mail server level. DON'T trust the user to use ANY common sense. Quote from a user after having their home machine whacked by the anna virus " the message was from my daughter, she would never send me a virus" I got to rebuild 2 toasted machines that week

There is something to be said about common sense
