Quantum measurement?
Until we actually measure it we're both succeeding and failing at the same time?

How about this:

Green = Nobody knows what we're supposed to do
Blue = Nobody knows what we're doing
Yellow = Nobody know what we're doing wrong
Amber = Somebody found out what we're supposed to be doing.
Red = ...and tried to measure it!
