I definitely agree on the problem with too many not informing themeselves. They simply jump on the bandwagon and are easily indoctrinated by media frenzy and the general craze on security issues, for ex. MS and it's security problems which are extremely exagerated by all non-sec savy and ppl in love with a certain OS.
RTFM and gather info from many expert sources is what should be demanded from ppl, especially before posting.
