Yawn, So what
"After a brief debate, the House overwhelmingly endorsed two substantially different approaches: fining creators of malicious code, and imprisoning anyone who "intentionally impairs" a computer's security."

You have to legally define what is spyware first and these idiots are not qualified. So they will depend pacs etc and any teeth the bill had will become false teeth with no polygrip.

Then you add this piece of genius law making

"Bono's legislation would create a complex web of regulations--"

Which means the law will be like the tax code. No one will be able to figure it out and legit people get screwed.

But hey there is good news. All these idiot lawmakers can add another notch on their we did something list for the next time elections come out. I have a good idea how to make us all safe. Every 2 to 4 years we elect these idiots, give them a biiiiigggggg pay raise and send them on vacation. That will freeze the taxes (I do not foresee any cuts coming down the pike) so I will settle for a freeze, no more stupid laws will be written harming innocent people, existing laws just might be enforced, talk show host will be out of job, sadly cable news will just search for more Mike Jackson stories to fill space, but hey no political crappola. If I sound extra grouchy it is because I just got my damn home owners tazes for next year and all I can say is I am glad to have made mass quantities of "OBSCENE PROFITS."
