Not only that...
...but the average linux user is much more computer savvy in general than the average Windows user. If all Windows users knew about computing the rate of infection would be much less. You never see a retarded lost linux user the way you do with the typical six-pack Joe Dufus user, who usually clicks on the first porn image that pops up on his screen.
Linux guys have typically come from a unix background, meaning they know their stuff.
Moreover, M$ will only be able to buy off everyone for so long. Soon cheaper and better will win out over price gouging and half ass..
