Wrong! Do you have an economic clue?
Copyrights and patents are necessary for capitalism. Financial benefits are a big incentive to be inventive. You can't benefit when there is no protection for your ideas. IP protection is vital to sustained innovation.

On the other hand, communism would exclude patents & copyrights. The very word "communist" means that everything belongs to everyone. You just created something new? Oh well, it now belongs to the "benevolent" state, for everyone to use. Why create anything in that case? There's no payoff for being the originator.

P.S. Validity of specific patents is an entirely different question.
