"You guys only defend ... evil entities."
> You guys only defend freedom of speech coming from evil entities.

That's an interesting claim but totally without merit.

I looked at the cases that we still have pending
before this year's term of the Supreme Court of
the United States and the cases we've filed
Amicus briefs regarding. Here they are:

o FCC v. Brand X Internet Services 04-281
Reviewing whether cable broadband services should be allowed to limit
access to a single Internet Service Provider (ISP).

o MGM Studios v. Grokster 04-480
Reviewing whether the developers of software that allows for
peer-to-peer file sharing can be held liable if that software is used by
some consumers for copyright infringement when it is also capable of
substantial non-infringing uses.

o Town of Castle Rock v. Gonzales 04-278

Reviewing whether a woman whose three children were killed by her
estranged husband can raise a procedural due process claim based on the
Town of Castle Rock's failure to enforce a protective order despite
Colorado's mandatory arrest law.

o Jay V. Johnson v. California 04-6964
Reviewing the procedure by which a defendant can establish that the
prosecution improperly used its peremptory jury challenges in a racially
discriminatory fashion.

o Halbert v. Michigan 03-10198

Reviewing whether indigent criminal defendants in Michigan are entitled
to appointed counsel on their first appeal, even if they plead guilty.

o Wilkinson v. Austin 04-495

Reviewing the procedures required by due process before an Ohio prisoner
can be transferred to the state's Supermax facility.

o McCreary County v. ACLU 03-1693

Challenging the decision to post the Ten Commandments in two Kentucky
county courthouses.

Not a NAMBLA or a Nazi in the bunch! And if you
think that the Ten Commandments belong in a Court
House (BTW, should it be the Jewish ones, the
Catholic ones, or the Protestant ones?), then we
have no common understanding of the United States
Constitution upon which to base further discussion.
