Lots of people voted for precisely this sort of thing. Twice.

In casting votes for Bush and the rest of the PNAC
Neocons, lots of people voted for precisely this
sort of thing.

They seem to believe that the First Amendment is
only useful for pornographers.

And that they will never have anything to hide
from the Gummint, so what do the care about the
Fourth Amendment and its protections against
illegal search and seizure.

Or that the Fifth Amendment is only useful to
allow criminals to not confess their crimes.

And they can't see why those pesky brown people
we're keeping down in Gitmo should be entitled
to the speedy jury trials promised by the Sixth
and Seventh Amendments.

Now, of course, the government is using its
newly-granted powers against all of us, but many
won't realize that *THEY* cast the votes that
made it all possible (when all they were trying
to do was ensure that Adam and Steve couldn't
get hitched).

There's just one more step to go, folks, and that
is for the Neocons to completely capture the
judiciary. And that's well under way right now,
and the yahoos will think it's just grand when it
happens.

Until it happens to them.
