Kilmartin said that eBay has no plans to alter its authentication process for now. "We have no specific plans in this area yet, unless we start to see real demand for it," he said.

Yeah right. What a cop out. The average user wouldn't know two-factor authentication if it walked in the room and slapped them in the face. For eBay to say users must demand it before they'll consider it is just an excuse to avoid a problem they must deal with. As long as they are raking in the dollars, they have no incentive to fix the problem. That's why I've stopped using them.
