Australian state to ban workplace e-mail spying

Well here in America

Why this seems all fine and dandy I do have a problem with it. Employees tend to forget who's computer they are using while at work as it certainly isn't theirs. The computers and all data belong to the employer. IF an employee is checking their hotmail or aol email at work and the boss sees it that is their problem as they should not be dealing with personal email matters at work. Employers have every right to monitor and watch every single pc in their organization, they have to in order to protect their good name.

If employees were to get this law in their favor business as a whole would fail. Employees would be able to send emails containing customer records and or proprietary information that would not have been seen by a careful manager.
