Unix
""" have been using UNIX from various vendors (SUN, HP, IBM, SGI) since 1990, MAC OSX and Linux since 2003 and NO VIRUS or WORM has ever crossed into our systems. We just take reasonable precautions and we do NOT go crazy with security."""

I first used Unix in 1981 and I agree that it is a secure system but it is not a totally secure system. In fact the first Virus(worm?) that I have heard of was set loose in Unix and took down what was then DarpaNet.

What does that prove, nothing except that any system can have problems. I don't care how secure your system is, if someone doesn't pay attention to safe practices, you system will fail.

"""The user's responsibilities cannot be discounted, but if your selling point is a 'system for the clueless' then you should make sure that your system does NOT allow users so EASILY shoot themselves in the foot."""

In this case of this virus. What do you suggest MS do to prevent it? Now I admit I am not a programmer or admin. I am in the hardware end of the business but I did have to take some programming in colledge and know what they do.
