You are wrong big time!
This worm is an executable spread in a zip file. It runs with the same rights as the user if the user is stupid enough to open it, ignore the warning, and then run it. So how does Linux protect me, if I were a stupid user? If a worm writer tarred a shell script with the executable bit on and emailed it to a stupid user, they could open it and run it without every typing a single command and in fewer steps than required with Outlook on XP. Yes, I've tried it. The shell script would run with the same rights as the user which, in the default install of all major Linux distros, is enough to harvest emails, send itself to all your friends, set itself up to run on startup, connect to IRC (or a website), and listen for instructions. I guess by your definition then, Linux is a flawed OS!
