I hear this time and time again
I'm not a linux zealot but I rarely use my windows pc on the net and when I do I know what sites to stay away from and what not to download. Anyway, I'd really like to see a BHO attach itself to firefox or opera (fedora core 3) without me actually installing it. I'd like to see gator or coolweb get installed on my linux box without me knowing it. I don't think that's going to happen. Besides, most *nix users are smart enough not to run as root and to occasionally do an nmap or run ethereal.

I have a small pc shop and AT LEAST 60% of what I do is getting rid of spyware. It provides an income but this stuff has become worse than virusesand most end users have no idea how to prevent or cure infections.
